Cous cous, the miracle food

Little M has been hungry, and on and off, vocal today so while I managed some porridge in the morning, I hadn’t found time for lunch. By three I was very hungry so I decided to try making a salad with cous cous. Easy peasy!

  • Boil the kettle
  • Take out bowl (find clean surface)
  • Pour in frozen peas
  • Pour in frozen green beans
  • Add cous cous
  • Add salt, olive oil, dash of stock cube
  • Pour boiling water over it all
  • Stir and wait.

I even managed to add some feta cheese since the babe took a five minute nap.

Now I just have to find some time to eat it.

mmm, i do love cous cous. and with feta – delicious! don’t forget you can out M in your sling so that you can prepare food and get other things done even if she’s wailing. obviously if she’s feeding a lot that’s not so easy but apparently you can even breastfeed on the go using certain slings and i would have thought that would be quite useful! the baby bjorn helped me so much when Baby D (who i used to look after) was being a little (but very sweet) limpet.
